Another robbery for Marc Jacobs

Apparently the gods or not on Marc Jacobs’ side this past week. After his own Marc by Marc Spring/Summer collection got stolen last week, now Marc Jacobs’ precious goods for Louis Vuitton were the victim of another robbery.

The fashion crime happened at Paris’ Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport, where five masked thiefs held five employees as hostage while there were filling two trucks with the Louis Vuitton collection. According to the police, the stolen goods have a value of approximately 300.000 euro.

The robbery took place at November 25th, which is referred to as ‘Black Friday’. Since this is the second time Marc Jacob’s designs got stolen, this day will definitely be a ‘Black Friday’ in his books.

H&M’s next top designer: Marni!

H&M is probably still recuperating from the latest Versace mayhem, but they already named their newest fashion brand that will design a collection specially for them. Italian fashion house Marni will take on the challenge to design a special Spring collection for H&M.

March 2012 will be the month that Marni’s collection will be launched at 260 selected H&M stores around the world and at H&M’s online shop. The collection will be women’s wear as well as men’s wear. Also, accessories will be designed by Marni.

Striking prints with a touch of Africa and mesmerizing colors will be the main theme of Marni’s collection. The clothing will be sportive, yet chic. The collection will have the classic Marni pieces, like pleated skirts, knitwear and dresses made of materials varying from luxurious silk to light cotton.

The men’s collection will have more soft and neutral colors. Also, the use of fabrics is more softer feeling than the women’s collection, and the prints will be designed with some more subtlety.

Supposedly, Marni will even design a signature print for H&M!

Flagship store 7 For All Mankind

One of Little Soho’s favorite jeans brand, 7 For All Mankind, opened their first flagship store in Amsterdam yesterday night. The luxurious American denim label had a special opening party in their brand new store in the P.C. Hooftstraat. Of course, Little Soho was there!

Since 2010 & For All Mankind has been expanding all around Europe. There have been popping up stores in fashion city’s like Antwerpen, Rome, London, Milan and Düsseldorf. But now it’s time for the Dutch capital, Amsterdam.

The VIP-cocktail party started at 7 o’ clock and good music was provided by DJ set Claire & Sheila Hill. The big crowd was spread around the whole store, with especially big groups at the delicious cocktail bar and the lovely chocolate fountain. The 7 For All Mankind Jeans were all tightly folded and hung for everyone to see. The night ended with a big price for three very lucky winners: a free shopping spree in the store with a value of 500 euro!

Dutch Vogue is really coming!

Earlier rumors about a Dutch Vogue made all us fashion lovers getting excited. Nothing was officially confirmed yet, but now it’s a 100% fact that Holland will get its own ‘fashion bible’.

Ex-Glamour’s Karin Swerink was already pointed out as the editor-in-chief of the Dutch Vogue, although she didn’t want to admit herself just yet. Luckily, Fiona Hering put us all out of our not knowingness and confirmed that there will be a Dutch Vogue with Karin Swerink as the Dutch Anna Wintour, and Fiona herself will also be doing some writing for the fashion magazine. As she told RTL Boulevard: “I’ve already organized my desk”.

Unfortunately, we’re still left in the dark about when we can get our hands on the first Dutch Vogue. But it does gives us something to look out too.
