Katie Holmes: New Life, New Line

Most women are pretty depressed after getting divorced. But there are a few exceptions. One of them is Katie Holmes. Instead of eating her grief away she feeds her fashion career. In 2009 she already launched her clothing line with business partner Jeanne Yang. This line was kept far from the press and was only available in a few luxury stores, such as Barneys and Harvey Nichols. But now Katie wants to expand her line and she is going to do it big! Miss Holmes will show her brand new spring collection at the New York Fashion Week this September.

Behind The Brand: Stella McCartney

The British designer Stella McCartney launched her fashion house in 2001. Besides stunning women’s wear she’s  got her own organic skincare, perfume, kids clothing line and a beautiful organic lingerie line!  The linen contains lovely feminine shapes and sweet soft colours. And most important, it fits perfectly! High end fashion for underneath.

Try it yourself! Stella McCartney’s lingerie will be available soon at littlesoho.com

Spotted: Vuitton and Kusama

Marc Jacobs is a big fan of Yayoi Kusama’s art work. He was very honoured to lead the collaboration between the Japanese artist Kusama and the French fashion house Louis Vuitton.
Kusama is known for her whimsical dot motifs and again this ‘pop-art’ collection contains lots of spots, dots and bold colours. It’s all very different than the elegant designs that we are used of Vuitton, but the collaboration turned out so successful, it even get’s a sequel!

The collection is for sale since July 10th and the second collection will be launched on August 24.

Facebook Clothing Hangers

Social media is everywhere, even at department store C&A in Brazil. The Facebook-page of C&A Brazil is connected with the clothing hangers in the store. Every time someone likes a garment on facebook, there will appear a ‘Like’ on the clothing hanger in the shop.
With this experiment C&A hopes to influence the shopper in their clothing choice and help them to make a fashionable decision.
What do you think of this social media experiment? Like or dislike?

The Off-Catwalk Scene

The great fashion blogger and photographer Tommy Ton has been busy! He captured the best off-catwalk action at the Paris Fashion Week.

Paris Fashion Week: Versace

On the first of July, Paris was turned into one big runway. Everyone was dressed at their best to attend Paris Fashion Week. The Haute Couture show Atelier Versace was quite the busy one, with celebrities like Jessica Alba and Anna Wintour sitting front row. The beautiful autumn/winter collection of Donnatella Versace showed us that we’re not past pastel yet. Next season these soft colours will be back, along with shiny and sparkling decorations.
