In-Fashion Utrecht

Utrecht has it all! Beautiful boutiques, good restaurants and bars, the Central Museum and now -almost- its own fashion event: In-Fashion. And we say ‘almost’ because the funding is not final yet.
The organization has put her hope in the crowdfunding platform www.voordekunst.nl. If it all goes well, In-Fashion will take place on April 21.

The idea is simple: one day, one hotel (Hotel Dom), one floor and a lot of rooms, where young designers from Utrecht are offered a stage. A stage ánd several presentations and workshops, all in the name of  sustainable design, streetstyle photography, storytelling photography and innovations in fashion. You can also enjoy several fashion movies at the hotel and at movie house ‘t Hoogt.
Support this event and go to www.infashionutrecht.nl.

Cavalli: behind the scenes

Roberto Cavalli’s Spring collection is a real jaw dropper with its floral pleated skirts and gold-sequined numbers.  The behind-the-scenes video, taken at the Spring ‘12 ad campaign shoot at New York’s Pier 59, give you a closer look at those embossed python jackets and silk printed dresses. The lead part is for Cavalli’s muses-of-the-moment: Naomi Campbell, Karen Elson, Kristen McMenamy, and Daphne Groeneveld—women he chose because they “embody the standards of a modern appeal.”
