Jennifer Aniston finally shares the secret behind ‘The Rachel’ with the world. Oh yes, her hairdresser Chris McMillan was stoned when he gave the Friends star the chop back in 1994.

Unexpected inspiration

Jennifer Aniston has been known as America’s sweetheart since she first stepped onto the set of Friends. Her sleek, shiny and smooth hair named ‘The Rachel’, after her character on the comedy hit, only emphasized her girl-next-door image. One of the most imitated hairstyles of all time was not a product of good genes though, as Aniston often shares, she grew up as the girl with the uncontrollable, frizzy hair. Now long-time friend and hairstylist Chris McMillan admits that he created the straight chop by total coincidence. He was stoned when he pre-formed his scissor magic on the actress.

This revelation comes as perfect timing just as the befriended couple announces Aniston will become co-owner of the hair care brand Living Proof. Since the brand promises to tame even the frizziest of hairs, which is convenient as the  sought-after sleek hairstyle is definitely making a comeback this summer. Michael Kors, Lacoste, Narcisco Rodriguez and Victoria Beckham, just to name a few, demonstrated a renewed love for the ‘The Rachel ‘.

Altough the attorney has the powerlook under control, she sure knows how to give her outfit a stylish twist. “I’ve never been terribly comfortable with the sleek-black-suit lawyer look,” says Laura in Elle. In her twenties, the fashionable lawyer played it safe, pulling her hair back and wearing glasses to court. “Now that I have a little credibility and I’m in my forties, I don’t have to work so hard to be taken seriously.” On a normal day she prefers to wear skirtsuits by Alberta Ferretti, Prada, and Paul Smith with bare legs and major heels.   “On weekends, I’m kind of a hippie surfer girl. I could never meet my friends out in a suit!”

Attention to all Michael Kors fans! The American fashion designer opens a store at the Amsterdam P.C. Hooftstraat. Inside you will find 230 m² of shopping space. The store will open in september of this year. It’s going to be a long summer….

Michael Kors has releaved he will marry his love Lance LePere. They know each other since 1990, when Lance was interning for Michael.

They have been waiting a long time for the moment to be able to designate their love for each other. Last wednesday the moment was finally there, they get their approval to marry as a gay couple.

“It’s amazing that after years together we have the opportunity to marry in our own state”, Michael says to People.com. But the couple is not planning a big party. “We want a small ceremony.”

Michael and Lance have no wedding date announced. Maybe better when you really want to keep it small!

Top model Heidi Klum wore a blue draped dress by Michael Kors during the amfAR Inspiration Gala. This event took place last night in New York, aiming to raise money for AIDS research.

Courtney Love, Alek Wek, Ke$ha and Chanel Iman were the other special guests. Jennifer Hudson -also dressed in a Michael Kors creation- gave an impressive performance. And there were prizes: actor James Franco won the Piaget Award of Inspiration and Michael Kors received the amfAR Award of Courage.
